No. Any phone or tablet scans tickets and takes payments. If you want card-present sales at the gate or the concession stand, plug-and-play Stripe Terminal card readers are supported — but they're optional.
How do fans buy tickets?
Through your school's branded portal. They pick the event, pay, and get a QR ticket instantly by email — no app to download.
What about students?
Import your student roster and issue student passes. Students get in with their school ID — free or discounted, your call — and every entry still counts against capacity.
Where does the money go?
Straight to your school's own Stripe account. GameDay Connect never holds your funds.
What if the Wi-Fi drops at the gate?

Is it only for sports?
